The role of maintenance technician

As a maintenance technician in the Network Division, your main tasks will involve planned and corrective maintenance of the network and associated water and sewage facilities.

This includes supervision, troubleshooting, inventory, repair work, and building service lines for new customers. The work is performed individually or together with colleagues at Vakin and contracted entrepreneurs.

You will also participate in the development of routines within the work area. On-call duty may be included in the position.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have a high school education in construction and civil engineering or equivalent work experience. You have experience in earthworks or similar work and basic computer skills. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as a B driver's license. It is considered an advantage if you have experience in water and sewage pipe laying and have completed training in safe excavation or work on roads, and have a BE driver's license.

To succeed in the role, good collaboration skills are required as you will work closely with various colleagues at Vakin. As a person, you like to take your own initiatives in your work, can adapt to changing circumstances, and have patience in your work. You follow established routines and working methods to ensure a safe and secure work environment for both yourself and your colleagues.

Additional information

The position is a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement. We may apply a probationary period.
